Things are ALWAYS happening around St. PhilipÕs.
Here's just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.

EYC started slowly last Sunday. Various youth started showing up and eating, and Miller Hall looked like this:

As you can tell, thereÕs not much group energy in the picture above! However, under the direction of some youth leaders borrowed for an evening from Camp High Rocks, St. PhilipÕs EYC showed that they can demonstrate some pretty serious teamwork when required:

When you start organizing and decluttering, you just NEVER know what youÕre going to find. On the classroom bulletin board behind another piece of paper, the Christian Nurture Committee Co-Chairmen found this photo, from probably about 10 years ago:

Most of us donÕt see ALL the myriad things that a priest has to do in a given week. Writing sermons and celebrating the Eucharist are just the parts everyone recognizes. Another lesser known responsibility is driving teens (and small children along for the ride) three hours in a small car on Friday afternoon to a retreatÉitÕs a hazardous pay situation!

The stress of what he was seeing in the front seat put the back seat right to sleepÉ

Next week weÕll have to find activities that involve some other groups in the parish – it was a big week for children and teens!
