Things are ALWAYS
happening around St. PhilipÕs.
Here's just a sampling of some of what
you might have missed.
The Parish
Hall upstairs has been bustling this week. The Library Committee has been
working away sorting books, eliminating clutter, and organizing, and the
Library is looking quite spiffy lately. Many hands are making light – and
happy – work.

On a more
somber note, these helping hands are creating lovely trays for the reception
for a memorial service. The love and care and attention to the detail show in
what they are able to create, often with short notice.

Approximately
80-90 people attended the All-Parish Picnic last Sunday at Lake Atagahi in
Connestee (itÕs difficult to count some of the moving targetsÉ.) Lifeguards
were on hand after lunch so that parents could chat in the sun while happy
children played in the lake. Inexplicably, this crowd decided it would be
amusing to gather more acorns than they could carry – in their swimsuits!

Some of the
staff of St. PhilipÕs took a moment out of their busy day to remember the Feast
Day of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals, on October 4, 2007.
