Things are ALWAYS happening around St. PhilipÕs.
Here's just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.

The Gauntlet: ItÕs a busy time at St. PhilipÕs, and on this past Sunday no fewer than FOUR sign up boards were displayed in Miller Hall Foyer, offering the following options: the EYC Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, Wonderful Wednesday, a Reception for Jeanne Hatter, and making soup, etc. for a Lenten Supper. You can fill your entire calendar just by hanging out in the foyer!

You may have noticed our Associate Rector has been absent this week. With true journalistic private–eye skills, the PhilippianPix team found her traveling incognito! (Actually, Maria bought a new hat while attending the Clergy Leadership Project, sponsored by Trinity Church, Wall Street. This is a two-year course of study with a class of 22 Episcopal clergy from around the country. Maria will return Sunday...)

With the work of little elves (looking very much like the Boy Scouts of Troop 701 under the direction of Christian R), the playground continues to improve. This Sunday, it was sporting a new roof! However, the work is still continuing: please caution children (of all ages) that the playground is CLOSED until further notice!

A junior reporter apparently hijacked the Official PhilippianPix Camera during coffee hour after the 11:15 a.m. service: the Editor found this scene mysteriously captured on the camera!

At ÒSouth of the Border NightÓ at Wonderful Wednesday, each table participated in the Official Wonderful Wednesday Mexican Hat Dance Competition.

The judges deliberate with care and conviction, using long mathematical formulas and a lot of guesswork.

The lucky winning table received for their prizeÉumbrellas?

Each guest at Wonderful Wednesday guessed the number of ÒMexican Jumping BeansÓ (looking suspiciously like jelly beans) in a Mason jar. Katie B, who is quite fond of her sugar in any form, guessed the closest – she missed it by ONE! (There were 267 in the jar; Katie guessed 268.)
