Things are ALWAYS happening around St. PhilipÕs.
Here's
just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.
The older Godly Play class
talked about the ÒI amÓ statements of Jesus in the Gospel of John, and the
context behind those statements. Here, they spread all fifteen out in
chronological order on the floor of the classroom.

Work on the playground
continues! Today the playground is sporting new sides and the beginnings of a
climbing Òtower.Ó However, the work is still continuing: please caution
children (of all ages) that the playground
is CLOSED until further notice!

St. PhilipÕs celebrated our Office Manager Jeanne HatterÕs
upcoming maternity leave with a lovely luncheon. Jeanne was surprised by the
gift of a lovely bassinette.

The bassinette was filled to the
brim withÉMONEY! (I suspect that Jeanne and her family will remove that before
inserting the baby.) However, it wasnÕt just ANY kind of money – it was
origami money. Each bill was carefully folded and/or tied into an elaborate
shape. (For more pictures of the luncheon, please click here.)

Work continues where you least
expect it – someone is always working somewhere to improve something. The
good elves have stained the shelves in the classrooms!
