Things are ALWAYS happening around St. PhilipÕs.
Here's
just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.
The high school Sunday School class took their class on a field trip to the coffee
shop Sunday morning. They discussed the Gospel lesson there, in a corner.

It was a busy day for the
teenagers on Sunday. That evening, they had their monthly Eucharist just for
them with Maria in the chapel. Pete gives his gift of music, which ÒmakesÓ the
service.

During
Lent, we donÕt have a prelude or postlude. However, Tim is practicing up for a doozy for Easter! This music was found on the organ (WidorÕs Toccata from Symphony #6).
(I am reminded of a line from the movie ÒAmadeus,Ó where Emperor Joseph II
tells Mozart, ÒAnd there are simply too many notes,
that's all.Ó)

ItÕs Girl Scout Cookie time!
The YAC became a Cookie Depot for a few hours processing these 922 individual
boxes of cookiesÉand these are NOT for JeanneÕs troop. There are actually three
different Girl Scout Troops that meet at St. PhilipÕs. These cookies were sold
by the eight 9th and 10th
graders in Troop #236. Matt Cannizzio did his daily
good turn by handily helping out with the hand truck, but he refused to have
his picture taken (Many thanks, Matt!)

At a recent ÒGeek SquadÓ
meeting (those involved with some of the electronic communications of St.
PhilipÕs), some of the participants expressed a desire to have their inner
artist recognized. I present to you one picture each from our Associate Rector
and our WebMaster (in that order).

(HarryÕs
picture was obviously taken February 20, 2008 during the lunar eclipse, and he
tells me he took it at 10:47 p.m., using f5.6 and a 5 second shutter with a 300mm lens. The two
stars in the second photo are elongated because of the longer shutter time.
MariaÕs inner artist isnÕt really into all those details – she just
really liked her picture!)
