Things are ALWAYS happening around St. PhilipÕs.
Here's
just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.
And theyÕre off! Christian and
Steve leave in the wee hours Thursday, June 12 for a mission trip in Jamaica
with Diocesan teens.

During the summer months, those
involved in the production of the E-pistle to the
Philippians, the website, and the PhilippianPix tend
to spread out a little. However, with WiFi, we are as
close as the next click. I thought I would show a few pictures of the view from
our windows, so to speak, to give you an example of how web-based information
and e-mails are coming to you from all over!
This is my view during the
summer: a second story porch of a cottage in Montreat,
NC (and, try as I might, I do not have sufficient photography skills to capture
the tall mountains beyond these treesÉ):

This particular week, MariaÕs
view is in Connecticut, where she is again attending the Clergy Leadership
Conference at Trinity Conference Center, West Cornwall, CT.

Our traveling webmaster is
sending us tantalizing gorgeous pictures of HIS view, which changes frequently as
he travels out west. (He takes pride in his photography, so I include his
notes: ÒI captured this panorama of The
Grand Teton Range, as seen from the eastern shore of Jackson Lake, by using a
tripod, estimating and locking the Nikon D70's exposure and aperture controls,
and taking 6 exposures each one overlapping the frame to the right by about
1/4. Photoshop's Photomerge Panorama did the rest.Ó)

Our webmaster IS taking time
out from his photography and his touring to attend church at this lovely
chapel. Again, I include his comments about the visit: ÒThis morning we attended mass at the Chapel of the
Transfiguration in Moose, Wyoming (Jackson Hole). The attached photo is not one
of my best but the best one I had at the time I located this WiFi link. Perhaps I'll send a better one later. The priest
this morning was the Guest Chaplain for May and June, The Rev. Joseph DiRaddo, from South Carolina. The communion liturgy manages
to work in buffalos, eagles, prairie grasses, aspen, mountain tops, and many other Jackson Hole sights. High
church it is not but an interesting experience it was. The Chapel is a part of
St. John's Episcopal Church of Jackson Hole (http://www.stjohnsjackson.org/).Ó

Our
Manager of the Shop of St. PhilipÕs demonstrates a new arrival – this
wall hanging of the Creation Story. The Shop always does things with a flair!

Back at St. PhilipÕs our office
volunteers continue making sure everything works smoothly. Sallie and Margarete save a few minutes for the tireless camera of a PhilippianPix editor. (Note the interesting stickers on
SallieÕs car.)
