Things are ALWAYS happening around St. PhilipÕs.
Here's
just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.
Well, first off I should start
by naming the things we DONÕT have pictures of, but should have: the Ten Thousand
Villages sale on October 18-19 and the Open House/Burning of the Mortgage on
October 19 at 104 Woodside, which is Maria, Max, and ChloeÕs home. To my
knowledge, not one person present at either event had a camera. However, here
are two (Before and After) snapped at MariaÕs home on Saturday. Brian did a
bang up job of getting MariaÕs yard shipshape for the event!

The Sunday School Closet in the
YAC is the hotspot/pigpen of the church. ItÕs a big chore to organize it, and
over the past several weeks many people have helped to do a section. Here,
Mary-Blair and Marcia go through many, many boxes to decide what must be kept legally
and what is important for the archives committee. It was a huge job! Steve
provided his beauty and brawn to the operation (he can reach the top shelf
easilyÉ). Many thanks to all the helpers/cleaners/organizers.

A few weeks ago, the older
Godly Play class heard the story of the Ark and a Tent, where the People of God
made the Tent of Meeting to house the Ark of the Covenant in the desert. This story – and several others that are models – are
popular with those who like to build.

Some pictures are just too good
to not use, even though they have no real connection to St. PhilipÕs. This is
therefore a gratuitous bear picture in the E-pistle
Corporate Office driveway:

While cleaning out the Sunday
School Closet, we did find two church mice living there. To my knowledge, at
least one (on the left) has been there since the closet was built many years
ago. Apparently he (she?) has found a mate!
