Things are ALWAYS happening around St. PhilipÕs.

Here's just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.

The PhilippianPix Official Camera has been collecting photos for awhile, so itÕs time to upload them to the computer!

At the Christmas Eve Creche Service, the Holy Family and the shepherd made their way from the narthex to Bethlehem.

However, the wise men werenÕt due to arrive until Epiphany! At the Lessons and Carols service on December 28, they had made their way as far as a middle windowsill on their long trek to see the Holy Child, the newborn King:

The PhilippianPix Official Camera got to go on a trip! The Vestry graciously invited it to the Annual Vestry Retreat at Lake Logan last weekend.

Miller Hall had the honor of being the venue for a ÒprivateÓ event on Sunday afternoon: ChristianÕs Eagle Court of Honor. His family looks on proudly!

Eagle Scouts select a mentor who has encouraged them, and Christian selected Gordon as his mentor. Also, Christian and his friend Matt (also receiving his Eagle) decided to give a ÒjointÓ mentor pin to Danny. Congratulations, Gordon and Danny! We appreciate the time you devote to the youth of St. PhilipÕs – and the youth in our community. (Note: Any fondness that the Editor has for this particular subject is obviously entirely professionalÉ)

It turns out that Adele also has been viewing Danny as a mentor! Adele displays here the extension cord she neatly wrapped, modeling DannyÕs habit. (You just never know when someone is watching youÉ) Good job, Adele! (And many thanks for all your work on the Chrismon tree, including packing it all up and putting it away – neatly wrapping the extension cord in the process!)

At the end of the reception following the Court of Honor, a team of Scouts volunteered and efficiently straightened up the room quietly and in good humor. St. Philippian Brendan wanted to make sure that we immortalized the sweat dripping off his brow as he laboredÉ
