Things are ALWAYS happening around St. PhilipÕs.
Here's just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.
Last week, someone had an
anniversary! IÕll leave you the clues here and let you decide who it might have been. (Please congratulate Maria on the third anniversary of her
ordination on February 4, 2006!)

Okay, for the next picture,
please do not adjust your computer. ThereÕs just an empty space. This WOULD
have been a delightful picture of Steve and Danny and many EYC Youth enjoying
the sunny warm weather during EYC last Sunday. The Diocesan Snow Tubing Event
had to be cancelled due to the unseasonably warm weather. However, they all had
a great time playing Capture the Flag and Spud at Sycamore Flats, retiring to Cielito Lindo for a group dinner.
If SOMEONE (like maybe one of two members of the PhilippianPix
EditorÕs family who attended this event) had bothered to take the
Official Camera out of the car and had snapped a few pictures, we would all be
enjoying them nowÉ

Probably everyone at least made
a mental note in passing of Groundhog Day on February 2. However, the Church
celebrates not the furry rodent (or whatever it is) but Candlemas,
the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. (For more about Candlemas in general, click here.) The Daughters of the King
celebrated a lovely Eucharist in the Chapel on Candlemas.

Wonderful Wednesday celebrated the last installment for the
season with ÒFlorida Vacation Night.Ó Danny, worn out from the decorating,
takes a bit of a rest in one of the beach chairs before the doors openÉ

Éand the doors did indeed open. Susan
has served as Wonderful WednesdayÕs ever cheerful
hostess! What a good job she does!

Deacon Annie and Rob joined in the spirit of the evening. Here
they compare sartorial notesÉ
