Things are ALWAYS happening around St. PhilipÕs.
Here's just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.
Lent begins. In her Ash
Wednesday sermon (click here to read it if you missed it),
Maria describes a wall hanging in her office. For those that havenÕt been able
to drop by, hereÕs a photo:

The PhilippianPix
Editor promises that there will be NO upsetting medical pictures in this
installment. Instead, we submit a picture of a repaired Steve!

The Shop of St. PhilipÕs provides funding for ECW outreach and mission projects in
the community, the diocese and the world, as well as several parish programs.
It is staffed by more than 90 volunteers managed by
a twelve member volunteer Shop Board
and paid full time manager. Whoosh! They are a hard working, committed group.
Have you
visited the Shop lately? The Shop
of St. Philip's End of Season Sale Week starts
this Saturday, March 7 through the 14th. Here, Beth, Carol, and Lynne toil away
(donÕt let them fool you – theyÕre quite a social bunch, those
volunteers!)

The Thursday Bible Study is
open to anyone, but this weekÕs class welcomed a teeny tiny guest: Sparky, the
baby squirrel. Jeanette is a wildlife rehab volunteer and frequently brings
some of GodÕs creatures to church with her. Max got the unusual opportunity of
holding Sparky.

This PhilippianPix page opened with abstract art from MariaÕs
office; the PhilippianPix Editor would like to end
this episode in the photographic history of our parish by submitting abstract
art of a different sort (taken during high school) – and by noting that
today is the anniversary of this oneÕs birth. Not just ANY birthday, but the 21st birthday! Be afraid. Be very
afraid. (Note: any fondness for the subject of this picture is PURELY
professionalÉ.)
