Things are ALWAYS happening around St. PhilipÕs.

Here's just a sampling of some of what you might have missed.

Several St. Philippian children traveled across the road on Saturday, March 14 to take part in a ChildrenÕs Choir Festival at Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian. They spent Saturday morning in rehearsal with a clinician, performing for family and friends at noon. Diana, Elizabeth, Chloe, Will and Max represented St. PhilipÕs.

Adele, Patti, and Charlie Steele (from BDRPC) helped the St. Philippians learn the music in advance prior to the event. Good work, all around!

ItÕs DONE! The thesis is FINISHED, hot off the printer and stacked on this desk! Kudos to Jayne and Rob, who of course shared the load over the past six years to finish RobÕs DMin.

The Saint of the Month Club marches onward in the Godly Play class. A student in the class was handed the Official PhilippianPix camera to capture MarchÕs event. When the photos were uploaded, a few more were found to tell the story. First off, a nice picture of all the saints included in the Saint of the Month Club. You can see St. Patrick there in green vestments in the center; ŌSt.Ķ Valentine is to his right in his toga. (And on his left, St. Catherine of Siena, AprilÕs Saint of the MonthÉ)

The St. Patrick, who traveled for God, is represented in this monthÕs story. You can see the boat, which represents his travels back and forth across the Irish Sea. You can see his shepherdÕs crook, representing his time caring for his flock as a shepherd and later his flock as a bishop. And, of course, you see the shamrock, which he used to illustrate the Holy Trinity.

And, a nice extra surprise on the camera: a picture of a real shamrock, from the plant brought to the classroom for the day. It is a treat to have pictures from the eyes of the junior reporters.

St. PhilipÕs has a diligent crowd of acolytes. This year, there is only one senior. In his last year of serving at St. PhilipÕs, Christian has been an acolyte since he was in 3rd grade. Here, from the archives, is a picture of ChristianÕs very first Sunday acolyting (with Chase and John). Many thanks for all of ChristianÕs years of service to the worship at St. PhilipÕs!
